Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a KS2 setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing assistance to pupils in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Lessons: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons to all pupils, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
- Differentiated Support: Develop and implement differentiated support methods to meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring that each child receives the support they require to succeed.
- Aiding the Class Teacher: Provide administrative support to the class teacher, including preparing materials and resources for lessons.
- Commitment to the School: Commit to the wider life of the school and the community, attending CPD sessions and participating in school events as required.
- Safeguarding: Safeguard pupils in accordance with the school's policies and procedures.
- COVID-19 Measures: Commit to the school's COVID-19 measures to ensure the safety of all in the school.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or experience as a Teaching Assistant.
- Experience: Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School or Nursery.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 Curriculum and methods to support this.
- Behaviour Management: Strong behaviour management and classroom presence, with awareness of school policies.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to work with children of differing abilities and ensure high attainment in the class.
Working Hours: Part-time, with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the school and the pupils.
Pay: £12.90 per hour, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Contract Duration: Temporary, with the option to extend or make the role permanent at a later date.
