Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Liverpool. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing assistance to pupils in KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Lessons: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons to pupils in KS2, providing individualized support to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Differentiated Support: Develop and implement differentiated support methods to cater to the diverse needs of pupils in KS2.
  • Aiding the Class Teacher: Provide administrative support to the class teacher, ensuring the smooth running of the classroom.
  • Commitment to the School: Demonstrate a commitment to the wider life of the school and the community, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils.
  • COVID-19 Measures: Adhere to the school's COVID-19 measures, prioritizing the health and safety of all staff and pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold relevant qualifications or experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience: Possess recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School or Nursery.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS/KS1 Curriculum and methods to support this.
  • Behaviour Management: Exhibit strong behaviour management skills, a strong classroom presence, and awareness of school policies.
  • Flexibility: Display flexibility in working with children of differing abilities, ensuring high attainment in the class.
