KS2 Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school community in the Bootle area. The school is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all students, and we are now looking for a passionate KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to the student during lessons and activities, promoting academic and social growth.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring the student's unique needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support the student with any personal care needs, if required, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
