Job Summary:

The University of Creative Arts is seeking an experienced Facilities Assistant to join our Estates and Facilities department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential support to our university community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Opening and locking of premises, ensuring the security and safety of our facilities
  • Providing support for fire prevention, goods in/out, basic maintenance, and other operational tasks
  • Working as part of a team on a regular shift pattern, including morning and afternoon shifts, as well as participating in emergency and out-of-hours on-call duties
  • Providing excellent customer service to staff, students, and the public, with a focus on building strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently
  • Working independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the university
  • Developing and maintaining a good awareness of IT systems and processes, with a willingness to become a trained first aid member of staff

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Good awareness of IT systems and processes
