Job Title: Head of Financial Compliance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Financial Compliance. As a key member of our Risk, Legal & Compliance team, you will be responsible for providing compliance oversight across the Howden UK&I structure, ensuring we maintain compliance with industry and government regulations.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in our Gloucester office, with a requirement to be onsite for between 2-3 days per week. You will work closely with our senior operational management to ensure that compliance systems and controls remain appropriate, and collaborate with the Risk Management Function to deliver support in relation to regulatory risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver robust monitoring frameworks, methodologies, and programmes.
  • Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required.
  • Provide relevant and timely management information to the Chief Compliance Officer and senior management.
  • Contribute to the Howden UK&I Compliance Plan.
  • Work with senior operational management to ensure compliance systems and controls remain appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Function to deliver support in relation to regulatory risk.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in policy advisory/monitoring/remediation/assurance across different aspects of financial services/financial markets.
  • Good knowledge of FCA requirements in relation to investment, pension, and mortgage products.
  • Able to apply judgement from a regulatory perspective to internal and market information.
