About Grafton Banks Limited

Grafton Banks Limited is a rapidly expanding global business with a presence in Surrey, UK. We are seeking a highly skilled Group Controller to join our Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Group and Regional accounting and legal regulations.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal processes, policies, and controls in line with UK GAAP, IFRS, and regional regulations.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury activity, including bank account management, reconciliations, and cash position reviews.
  • Statutory Audit: Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with statutory audit requirements.
  • Financial Systems: Develop and implement new reporting and system developments to improve control and insight.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including transfer pricing, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
  • Payroll Management: Manage European Payroll processes and oversee Global Payroll compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with external parties, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Financial Reporting Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, group consolidation, and forex management.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to drive change and lead a team of four staff.
  • Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with up-to-date knowledge of accounting policies and practices.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and ability to support business growth and change management.
  • International Experience: Experience working with various currencies and international markets.
