Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial reporting team to ensure compliance with Group and Regional accounting and legal regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal processes, policies, and controls to ensure effective financial management in accordance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and regional regulations.
  • Oversee group reconciliations, FX policies, and month-end reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and manage treasury activity, ensuring that the team maintains bank accounts, processes, and performs monthly reconciliations with support from the AP and AR teams.
  • Review monthly cash position, reconciliations, and forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Take accountability for the overall management of the monthly and year-end timetable, including planning and methodology to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Oversee and review statutory audit planning, preparation, and coordination within the business and auditors.
  • Develop and implement new reporting and system developments to improve control and insight.
  • Develop new approaches for financial compliance, such as transfer pricing, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
  • Assist with Forex reporting and management.
  • Business partnering with third parties, such as banks, auditors, HMRC, and Companies House.
  • Manage the European Payroll process and oversee the Global Payroll processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support the Balance Sheet Forecasts and Budgets.
  • Provide finance and compliance advice and training as needed by the business.
  • Monitor the progress of current projects and manage service with team members to ensure the team's financial objectives and goals are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, group consolidation, and Forex management.
  • Proven track record of driving change and process improvements.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Experience of managing auditors and other external financial-related parties.
  • Knowledge of working with various currencies and international markets.
  • Up-to-date with accounting policies and practices.
