Dementia Care Specialist

Vast Services: Investing in Communities is dedicated to delivering high-quality services that make a real difference in people's lives. As a Dementia Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with dementia and their carers.
The ideal candidate will have empathy and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our service users. You will be required to assist in setting up venues, welcoming attendees, and providing refreshments.
You will also facilitate sessions, provide a friendly face, and redirect any queries on dementia support to staff members present. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and make a positive impact in your community.
As a Compassionate Support Advocate, you will work closely with our Volunteer Services team to ensure the smooth running of dementia care groups. You will be responsible for assisting in setup, welcoming attendees, and facilitating sessions.
We are committed to providing our volunteers with training relevant to their roles, as well as opportunities to attend courses and events. Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Estimated Salary: £8-10 per hour
