StokeonTrent, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom Alzheimer's Society Full time

Transform lives and make a meaningful difference as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer with Alzheimer's Society.

We are looking for individuals who share our passion for music therapy and supporting people affected by dementia. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our participants to enjoy singing and socialize.

In this rewarding role, you will provide emotional support, encouragement, and companionship to people living with dementia, helping them feel at ease and empowered to participate in activities. Your empathetic nature and ability to connect with others will be invaluable assets in this position.

The estimated salary for this role is £10-12 per hour, depending on your experience and location. You will need to commit to volunteering 2.5 hours per session, which typically takes place on Fridays from 12:30 pm to 3 pm at the Martin Heath Hall in Lichfield.

This opportunity is ideal for those who want to develop their communication skills, build relationships, and make a lasting impact on the lives of others. If you are passionate about music, dementia care, and community development, we encourage you to apply.

We value diversity and inclusivity at Alzheimer's Society, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Our organization is dedicated to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.

Please note that this role requires the ability to navigate online platforms, specifically Zoom, and to work effectively within a team. While experience with dementia is not essential, a genuine interest in developing meaningful relationships and making a real difference is highly desirable.
