Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Shift Lead Engineer to join our team at Resourcing Group. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of critical systems in a demanding environment.

You will be responsible for managing both day and night shifts, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient maintenance of electrical systems. You will work closely with the Lead Engineer to support the team and ensure compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and mentor team members during shift patterns.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems within the facility.
  • Manage and oversee all electrical work, including switchgear, control panels, and power distribution systems.
  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of critical assets and infrastructure.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient task completion.
  • Maintain detailed records of work carried out and provide reports to management as required.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures to improve efficiency and safety.

Requirements:

  • Electrically qualified (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team in a facilities management environment.
  • Proficient in using relevant software for maintenance reporting and tracking.
