Payroll Supervisor Opportunity

We are excited to partner with our client, a reputable accountancy and financial services business, to recruit a Payroll Supervisor to join their team in Uckfield. This 12-month contract role has the potential to be extended or made permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and process payroll data from start to finish
  • Reconcile payroll to client data, obtain client approval, and issue payroll reports and payslips
  • Review team members' work and prepare payroll journals
  • Reconcile weekly and monthly figures and prepare BACS files
  • Administer Pension Auto-enrolment and produce pension scheme returns
  • Deal with client queries, HMRC, and other business areas
  • Assist with onboarding new clients

Requirements:

  • Payroll bureau experience
  • Ability to calculate tax, NI, pensions, etc. manually
  • Good working knowledge of statutory family leave, SSP, salary sacrifice, pensions, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Flexibility to work longer hours during busy periods
  • MS Office (intermediate Excel) and experience at team leader/supervisor level

Working Arrangements:

Hybrid working of 2 days at home and 3 in the office, with free parking available and a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest mainline station.
