Payroll Supervisor

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. As a Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, reconciling payroll to client data, and supporting team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Reconcile payroll to client data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support team members in their daily tasks, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
- Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, and BACS files.
- Administer Pension Auto-enrolment and produce pension scheme returns.
- Deal effectively with client queries, providing excellent communication skills.
- Assist with onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Previous supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Client payroll experience, with a strong understanding of statutory payments.
- Able to calculate tax, NI, pensions, etc. manually, with a good working knowledge of MS Office (intermediate Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
