Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Housing Asset Manager to join our team in Newark and Sherwood District Council. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing building maintenance works, ideally within the housing sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the effective and efficient delivery of void property works, ensuring that disrepair cases are handled in a professional and efficient manner. You will also respond to complaints effectively and within set timeframes.

The successful candidate will have experience of successfully managing an operational team including direct employees and contractors, as well as working with tenants and leaseholders. They will be able to organise and prioritise workload effectively, possess resourceful skills with a continuous improvement approach, and exhibit effective communication skills.

This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, with a salary of £43,693 - £45,718 per annum. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out effective management of staff within your team, maintaining good morale and a high standard of performance.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to support the efficient operation of the service.
  • Setting and monitoring key performance indicators that drive high performance, taking action to address any issues.
