Role Summary:
SOCOTEC UK Limited seeks a skilled Heritage Consultant to work on diverse UK projects with heritage organisations and commercial property managers. The successful candidate will report on heritage asset significance, support clients, and undertake building recording.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed reports on heritage assets, incorporating background research, observations, and recommendations.
  • Offer expert advice on proposed works and significance.
  • Follow established company procedures and contribute to the development of new systems for quality enhancement.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, as agreed with Directors.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Key Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in built heritage conservation.
  2. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365.
  3. Knowledge of the UK heritage protection system and planning system.
  4. Ability to evaluate and analyse significance, including traditional building materials and construction.
  5. Excellent written and spoken English skills.
