Job Title: Medical Administrator Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

  • This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high level of administrative expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
  • The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our clinical teams, ensuring efficient patient pathways and timely appointments.
  • You will be responsible for managing patient data, coordinating appointments, and communicating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide primary administrative support to consultants and clinicians, including appointment booking, correspondence, and other administrative duties.
  2. Ensure accurate and efficient management of patient data, including electronic health records and paper files.
  3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. Work collaboratively with the Patient Pathway Coordinators to ensure efficient patient pathways and timely appointments.
  5. Act as the first point of contact for patients coming into the department, providing information and support as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in medical administration, preferably within the NHS.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
