Job Description

Role Overview

The Local Maternity and Neonatal System Program Management Officer will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of key priorities and deliverables linked to the NHS Maternity Transformation programme (MTP) and the NHS Long Term Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide programme management to key workstreams and programmes of work to ensure they run efficiently and within budget.
  • Work closely with the Local Maternity & Neonatal System (LMNS) team to ensure maternity and neonatal services are safer, more personalised, more equitable, and meet the needs of the local population.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key priorities and deliverables linked to the NHS Maternity Transformation programme (MTP) and the NHS Long Term Plan.
  • Collaborate with local system leaders, including provider, commissioner, and other local organisations, with the active involvement of service user representatives.

Requirements

The successful applicant will have excellent programme management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple workstreams and programmes of work. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including local system leaders, service users, and other healthcare professionals.
