As a Regional Leader for Environmental Risk Management at Allianz Commercial, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the regional strategy for Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) across the UK region.

This position involves leading the underwriting team to achieve financial targets and manage the EIL business portfolio effectively. You will be responsible for steering the regional EIL business operations, driving underwriting planning processes, and monitoring adherence to plans.

You will work closely with functional areas to review performance of the end-to-end Underwriting life cycle and collaborate with Distribution, Claims, and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies. Proactive communication with stakeholders is essential in this role.

To succeed in this position, you will need significant experience underwriting or pricing profitable EIL business for corporate clients. Expert knowledge of EIL markets and proven leadership skills are also necessary. Additionally, expertise in risk assessment, policy administration life cycle, pricing, market analysis, portfolio management, and liability reserving practices is required.

A strong understanding of designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings is also crucial. Fluent English language skills are mandatory, and experience in training and developing junior team members is highly valued.

We offer a competitive salary estimated to be around £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes a generous bonus scheme, pension, and a hybrid working model that recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working.
