Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £74,290 - £85,601 per annum, based on the UK national average salary range for a midwifery leadership position.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Transformation Unit as a Midwifery Leadership Transformation Specialist. As a senior midwife with extensive leadership and managerial experience, you will support the Divisional Operations Director (DOD) in developing and delivering a strategic approach to midwifery that meets the needs of the local population.

You will be responsible for the professional leadership, development, and management of midwifery and support teams to facilitate the delivery of excellent midwifery and nursing practice that is evidence-based and measurable.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing development of services to ensure a sustainable service in terms of workforce planning and access to care for service users.
  • Be accountable for the delivery and monitoring of the Three-Year Delivery Plan for Maternity.
  • Help develop the Equity and Equality Strategy within the Maternity Strategy.
  • Ensure implementation of local, regional, and national initiatives in a timely and responsive manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered Midwife
  • Masters Qualification (working towards) or equivalent level of academic achievement
  • Management training or evidence of equivalent competence
  • Professional training/learning which demonstrates highly developed professional knowledge
