About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Manager to join our team at Asda Opticians. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve departmental targets.
  • Oversee compliance processes and procedures, ensuring that our Optical Department meets all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Review sales forecasting and department targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with our Optometrists to develop and implement clinical strategies, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
  • Coach and develop our team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience of managing a team in a fast-paced optical environment.
  • Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of the optical industry and its challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
