Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Community Justice Support Specialist to join our team in South Lanarkshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals placed on Structured Deferred Sentences via the Alcohol and Drug Problem Solving Court.



Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Recovery Oriented Justice team to provide specialized support where required
  • Deliver assertive outreach services to support individuals within their own communities
  • Build hope, social capital, and establish support networks for those in need
  • Liaise with other agencies, including South Lanarkshire Justice Services and NHS
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the service under the direction of the Team Leader and Community Justice Manager
  • Manage data related to the people we support


Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Justice system and problematic substance use
  • Able to work in a pressurized environment and manage workload effectively
  • Relevant experience within Justice services and partnership working
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional Saturdays
  • Possession of a driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance
  • Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG)
