Digital Communications Specialist for Carer Support

Central Carers Association is a dynamic and community-driven organization aiming to empower carers and provide them with the resources they need to thrive. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Digital Communications Specialist to join our team.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description:
The Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's digital presence, including the website and social media platforms. This role requires a passion for digital content and a good understanding of digital technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to use their skills and experience to develop and provide digital information and systems that improve access to and the reach of the information, support, and involvement opportunities delivered by the Central Carers Association.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Responding to digital inquiries from carers and professionals via email, website, and social media.
- Encouraging and supporting carers to take up their right to an Adult Carer Support Plan.
- Signposting and referring carers to relevant sources of information and support.
- Producing and disseminating regular e-bulletins to provide information for carers and professionals.
- Updating the Central Carers Association website on an ongoing basis.
- Promoting activities organized by the Central Carers Association on social media.
- Designing and creating content across all the organization's media platforms.
- Sharing information relevant to carers from other organizations on social media.
- Producing and disseminating a twice-yearly newsletter for local carers and professionals.
- Assisting in the maintenance and development of the organization's in-house information management system.
- Working in partnership with the Health and Social Care Partnership communications team to ensure consistent information and messaging is disseminated across digital platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, such as communications, marketing, or digital media, and will have significant experience in digital communications. They will be highly skilled in content creation, social media management, and website maintenance. A good understanding of digital technologies and a passion for developing and providing digital information and systems are essential.
