About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at Shelter Scotland. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated communications plans across all digital and traditional channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications plans to promote Shelter Scotland's brand and achieve change for those who do not have a safe, secure or affordable home in Scotland.
  • Manage media relationships and support our objectives.
  • Work with colleagues across Communications to develop integrated communications plans across all channels including local and regional print, broadcast, online and social media.
  • Initiate media coverage by creating and selling ideas to journalists and to build and maintain contacts with journalists.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Communications Specialist who has a proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications plans. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
