Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled Clinical Specialist Community Mental Health Nurse to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community mental health nursing and be able to provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals and other agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the role of the Community Mental Health Nurse, utilizing specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment from initial assessment through to discharge.
  • Provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with the patient/carer.
  • Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
  • Provide teaching and supervision to junior staff and students.
