Role Overview
Riverside Recruitment is seeking a skilled Workforce Manager to oversee the contract workforce at a busy manufacturing site. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and hands-on leader with experience managing large volumes of workers.

About the Job
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has excellent communication skills to work closely with the factory team and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will have ultimate responsibility for the recruitment plan and managing the end-to-end recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing Staffing: You will oversee temporary workers on-site, ensuring they work effectively, adhere to health and safety guidelines, and stay motivated.
  • Coordinating with Teams: You will be the go-to person for factory management, helping them determine staffing needs and ensuring the recruitment campaign is delivered on time.
  • Project Management: You will be responsible for the recruitment plan and managing the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitoring Performance: You will track attendance, work quality, and productivity, stepping in when there are issues and helping workers succeed.

Requirements:
  • Experience Managing Temporary Workers: Ideally, you have worked in a manufacturing environment, especially in food production or something similar, and know how to manage a fluctuating workforce.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You will liaise with various people, so it is essential that you can communicate clearly and build good working relationships.
  • Problem-Solver: Things do not always go as planned, and you will need to think on your feet and find solutions to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Organised and Efficient: You will need to stay on top of scheduling, attendance, and paperwork, so being detail-oriented and organised is key.
  • Health and Safety Know-How: You should understand the importance of keeping a safe work environment and know the regulations that apply in a factory setting.

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience in a Similar Role in the Food Production Industry.
  • Knowledge of HR Legislation and Compliance.
