About Us: Alzheimer's Society is a leading UK charity supporting people affected by dementia. Our mission is to create a society where people live without the fear and stigma of dementia.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Outreach Ambassador. This role plays a crucial part in building and strengthening community links, raising awareness of dementia, and identifying individuals who can share their dementia story with their wider community.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of their local community and connections with the local South Asian Community. Experience of speaking a South Asian language would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in events and engage with groups to raise awareness of dementia
- Build relationships with community members and organizations to strengthen links and raise awareness
- Identify individuals affected by dementia who can share their story with the community
Requirements:
- Be over 18 years old
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of your local community
- Have experience of speaking a South Asian language (beneficial)
What We Offer: As a Community Outreach Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in your community and contribute to our mission to support people affected by dementia. You will also receive training and support to help you excel in this role.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
