About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our Science & Higher Education Division on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe, effective, and timely delivery of all site operational aspects of the project.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key personnel.
  • Oversee defect management and inspection regimes.
  • Assist with the production of the Site Environmental Plan.
  • Contribute to the review of construction detailing.
  • Ensure that the Design and Procurement Schedule is reviewed and verified.
  • Produce progress reports.
Requirements
  • Qualifications appropriate to the role.
  • Good knowledge of safe systems of work and putting people to work safely.
  • Recognise and promote best practice throughout the project.
  • Work calmly under pressure.
  • Embrace technology and modern methods of construction and strives for efficiencies.
  • Problem solver with the ability to break issues down and derive results.
  • Good knowledge of programme management and control.
  • Recognise driving critical activities and actively delivers mitigation measures.
  • Recognise the importance of change management and the associated risks.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, inspiring and motivating others in the project.
  • Ability to understand the landscape of Walter Lilly clients and consultants, the different roles, their competition and peers.
  • Ability to understand what information is needed to report internally on developing relationships and project opportunities.
  • Obtain the necessary health and safety qualifications required for the role (CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid are mandatory).
