At Signature, our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and ensuring their comfort and safety is our top priority. As a Facilities Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the physical environment of our residences to meet regulatory standards and provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for our residents.
In collaboration with the General Manager, you will oversee all on-site contractors and service agreements, ensuring that departmental expenses are managed effectively while upholding the quality of services provided. You will be responsible for the efficient and economical use of equipment, developing a streamlined inventory and spare parts management system, managing budgets, and preparing monthly financial forecasts alongside the General Manager.
Your responsibilities will also include formulating a site emergency response plan to address potential breakdowns or service interruptions affecting utilities such as gas, electricity, heating, waste, and water. You will oversee the maintenance of lighting systems, conduct PAT Testing, ensure ventilation units and lighting fixtures are clean and operational, and monitor water temperature control systems as part of ongoing maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting mandatory staff training in Fire Prevention & Evacuation and Health and Safety protocols, as well as testing fire alarms and organizing drills.
