We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Manager to join our team at Walter Lilly. As a key member of our Science & Higher Education Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and timely delivery of all site operational aspects of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key personnel to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee defect management and inspection regimes to maintain the highest standards of quality.
- Assist in the production of the Site Environmental Plan to minimize our environmental footprint.
- Contribute to the review of construction detailing to ensure compliance with our strategy and goals.
- Ensure that the Design and Procurement Schedule is reviewed and verified to prevent delays.
- Produce progress reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
- Qualifications appropriate to the role, including relevant certifications and training.
- Good knowledge of safe systems of work and putting people to work safely.
- Ability to recognize and promote best practice throughout the project.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues and derive results.
- Good knowledge of programme management and control.
- Ability to understand the importance of change management and associated risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to understand the landscape of our clients and consultants, including their roles, competition, and peers.
- Ability to understand what information is needed to report internally on developing relationships and project opportunities.
- Obtain the necessary health and safety qualifications required for the role (CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid are mandatory).
