About the Role
We are seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Summertown, Oxford.
The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teachers and therapists to provide support to children with SEMH needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start their career in SEN/SEMH provision.
- As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting children with behaviour and mental health issues.
- You will work closely with our therapists and psychologists to develop strategies to support children's learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing individual and group support to children with SEMH needs.
- Working with our therapy team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons to support children's learning and development.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology (or related field).
- Experience of working with children with SEMH needs (or similar vulnerability).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £80-95 per day, full-time Mon-Fri 8.30am to 4pm.
