About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Nurse to join our Bladder and Bowel Care Service at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with bladder and bowel conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of patients with bladder and bowel conditions, providing holistic assessment and treatment options.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Pelvic Health Physiotherapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and independence.
  • Participate in education and training events, both locally and nationally, to develop your knowledge and skills in bladder and bowel care.
  • Contribute to the development of the Bladder and Bowel Care Service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license.
  • Experience in bladder and bowel care, preferably in a specialist setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in bladder and bowel care.
