About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Nurse to join our Bladder and Bowel Care Service at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with bladder and bowel conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients with bladder and bowel conditions, providing comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care, including Pelvic Health Physiotherapists and Community Nurses.
- Develop and implement education and training programs for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to promote bladder and bowel health.
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies to ensure best practice in bladder and bowel care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
- Experience in bladder and bowel care, preferably in a specialist setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in bladder and bowel care.
