Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Colorectal/Stoma Nurse to fill a Developmental Clinical Nurse Specialist post in the Colorectal Department. The successful candidate will have first-class leadership qualities and proven abilities to implement change and support the Lead Colorectal Nurse.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for conducting nurse-led Colorectal Cancer follow-up and Stoma Clinics. They will develop the necessary skills and education to perform the nurse-led 2-week wait clinic. In the absence of the Lead, they will deputise and manage the service and members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nurse-led Colorectal Cancer follow-up and Stoma Clinics
- Develop skills and education to perform nurse-led 2-week wait clinic
- Deputise and manage the service and team in the absence of the Lead
- Implement change and support the Lead Colorectal Nurse
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding, knowledge base, and ability to work independently. They will have excellent communication skills, a positive outlook, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Working Pattern
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work hours per week. The working pattern may be subject to change.
