About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast Team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nursing care to patients with breast disease, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality specialist nursing care to patients with breast disease, utilizing expert clinical judgment and knowledge.
  • Work autonomously, using specialist knowledge and skills to provide informational and psychological care to patients and their families.
  • Assist with all aspects of breast care provision, in association with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Act as a nursing resource, providing clinical leadership and expertise as a Specialist Nurse concerning breast cancer.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, ensuring awareness of current research to support and underpin specialist advice.
  • Develop all staff within the multidisciplinary team, providing support, advice, and formal and informal education.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in breast care nursing, with a strong understanding of breast disease and treatment options.
  • Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions in complex situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement evidence-based practice, with a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
