About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Respiratory team at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and cystic fibrosis.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote self-management and independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in respiratory nursing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in respiratory nursing, preferably in a clinical specialist role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
