Job Description:We seek an experienced and motivated individual to lead our childcare team, focusing on improving the lives of our residents through purposeful planning and implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring consistency with national standards.
- Purposefully improve the lives of residents through systematic planning and implementation.
- Develop positive working relationships with families, friends, and external stakeholders.
- Establish a culture of trust and respect within the home.
- Efficiently control costs.
- Manage staff fairly and professionally, minimizing turnover.
- Develop high-quality care plans for each resident, adhering to pre-agreed timescales and standards.
- Maintain adherence to legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and company policies.
- Effectively communicate feedback from residents, families, and other stakeholders to the Registered Manager.
- Keep the Registered Manager informed of important issues and developments within the home.
- Directly address deviations from behavior codes while maintaining a respectful approach.
- Collaborate with the Registered Manager in leading and managing the home's day-to-day operations.
- Evaluate expenditure budget and ensure no unauthorized exceeding.
- Adhere to quality food standards.
- Contribute to menu planning, cooking, and purchasing foodstuffs when necessary.
- Facilitate open, positive, and inclusive weekly staff meetings.
- Involves staff in decision-making processes that affect their daily work.
- Prepares for senior staff meetings before facilitating weekly staff meetings.
- Contributes innovative ideas for long-term improvements of the home.
- Immediately reports problem areas or issues to the Registered Manager.
- Pursues continuous professional development through relevant training and workshops.
