As a Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a pivotal role in the Oncology Assessment Unit, working closely with senior AHP colleagues to screen and assess patients' needs. With a focus on rehabilitation services, equipment provision, and referrals to other services, you will ensure seamless patient care.

The role supports ongoing rehabilitation needs of cancer patients across the hospital, collecting relevant data and outcome measures to inform service improvements. We are seeking applicants with experience in at least one AHP profession (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetic, or Speech and Language Therapy). Training will be provided to ensure competence in other disciplines before clinical work begins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen and assess patients' Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetic, and Speech and Language Therapy needs
  • Provide rehabilitation services, equipment provision, and referrals to other services as needed
  • Collect relevant data and outcome measures to inform service improvements

Requirements:

  • Experience in at least one AHP profession (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetic, or Speech and Language Therapy)
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
