We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Oncologist to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage cancer patients from MDT referral through to treatment with Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy
  • Cover in-patient provision including 'consultant of the week' cover and advise through ward referrals for patients admitted under other specialities
  • Conduct Outpatient clinics

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration
  • FRCR or equivalent qualification
  • Advanced Communications training experience and effectiveness

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of adult patients
  • Demonstrate use of evidence based practice
  • Demonstrate evidence of sub-specialty / specific tumour site training

Desirable Criteria:

  • Willingness and ability to help develop oncology services
  • Experience of service planning and developments
