Pediatric Speech Therapy Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated speech therapist to join our team in the Wales Medicines Strategy Group's pediatric department.

The role involves working with children and young people who have Developmental Language Disorder, Dysfluency, Selective Mutism, Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia, Autism Spectrum Condition, Complex Needs, Speech Disorder, and Speech and Language delay.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, and interventions, working in mainstream schools, clinics, and community settings.

About the Department

The Wales Medicines Strategy Group's pediatric department provides specialist clinical care to children and young people with various speech and language disorders.

The team works closely with schools, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of this multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development of innovative care pathways.

Requirements
  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable the post holder to carry out the role effectively.
  • Experience working in a community clinic and within a mainstream school.
  • Growing skills in a specialist area and evidence of developing an area of specialism.
