Our NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Oncology/Haematology department at Poole Hospital in Dorset.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves working within our Day Care unit, delivering systemic anti-cancer treatments to patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong organisational abilities. You must also be flexible and able to work across the Directorate as required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy
  • Care of patients receiving radiotherapy
  • Care of immunocompromised patients

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's post-registration experience and hold current NMC registration. A recognised Oncology/Haematology course would be highly advantageous.

Benefits and Requirements

We offer a competitive salary, which is estimated to be around £30,000-£40,000 per annum based on the national NHS Agenda for Change pay scales.

The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
