Senior Cancer Nurse Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior cancer nurse to join our dedicated team on Sandbanks Ward at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

Sandbanks Ward is a 23-bedded acute oncology inpatient ward and part of the Dorset Cancer Centre. The ward provides high-quality care to patients receiving cancer treatments and managing side effects, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and brachytherapy.

The successful candidate will provide expert knowledge, high-quality care, and psychological support to patients and their families. They will also lead the existing team of proactive and dedicated nurses, promoting high standards of physical and psychological care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ward team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide expert knowledge and support to patients and families
  • Manage a busy ward environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
