Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Simply Education, an independent Special day school providing a highly specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with range of PMLD, MLD and SLD needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners. This will involve working closely with our therapeutic team to develop a child-centred curriculum and contributing to our established team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning within a specialist curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with our therapeutic team to develop a child-centred curriculum
  • Contribute to our established team and participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required

Requirements

  • PgCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
  • Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums
  • Positive team working skills and ability to contribute to our established team
  • Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting and recording
  • Ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £31,650 - £49,084 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
