About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team at Priory Group. As a key member of our hospital's Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all finance processes are administered in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll, maintaining payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
  • Coordinate with the HR team to ensure employee-related data is correctly loaded into the Priory Payroll System, and that all necessary amendments have been completed by the payroll cut-off dates.
  • Liaise with Ward Managers to ensure permanent employees are rostered a minimum of 8-12 weeks in advance, including appropriate planning for holiday and training.
  • Receive and coordinate requests for leave and other absences.
  • Ensure the integrity, probity, and reasonableness of local financial controls in respect of the payroll, in order to minimize financial risk via the correct implementation of local procedures and policies.
  • Answer employees' queries in respect of payroll, referring any complex issues to the appropriate level/manager.
  • Manage internal queries from Divisional Finance.
  • Ensure that all documentation is correctly filed, in order that financial auditors can be satisfied in their audit, via the efficient recovery of key documents of initial entry.
  • Deal with matters related to invoice processing and other finance tasks.
  • Review and approve invoicing.
  • Manage Petty Cash and manage patient finance.
  • Manage the financial accounting and reporting of site shop (where present).
  • Provide cover for other administration roles on site as required.

About You

We are looking for an individual with experience of working in an administrative role, ideally in a finance position. You will be required to work on your own initiative and will be the main finance administrator for the Hospital. You will have strong communication skills and a high level of competency in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
