Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at Commercial Services Group. As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Manager: Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager on all transactional activity, including preparing and entering journals into the system, completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and collecting monthly direct debits and making payments.
- Administrative Tasks: Take care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing, and printing, and maintain accurate and detailed customer records and create new customer accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties, including managing VAT returns and other ad-hoc duties.
- Communication: Build a good rapport with clients and provide an accounting team with relevant information, and work collaboratively with all stakeholders, developing and maintaining effective relationships and providing an excellent service to them.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Completed up to Level 3 AAT
- Experience: Broad experience within a finance function, including a working knowledge of tax, and experience of working with non-finance professionals.
- Skills: Experience using finance and accounting software, competency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to address problems and identify solutions independently.
