Position Overview

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Head of Consumer Insights & Strategy by driving consumer-centric initiatives across the organization. You will be instrumental in amplifying the voice of the consumer, delivering actionable insights that inform our brand strategies and business decisions. Additionally, you will oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of insights projects utilizing various methodologies.

This is a part-time opportunity, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the advocate for consumer perspectives within your marketing team, promoting a consumer-first approach.
  • Manage both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, including ongoing and ad-hoc studies, ensuring insights are effectively integrated into strategic planning.
  • Analyze and distill findings from research efforts, providing strategic recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to present research insights in a compelling manner, ensuring stakeholders are engaged and informed.
  • Work alongside brand teams to establish success metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee aspects of the Insights budget, optimizing expenditures to maximize impact.
  • Engage stakeholders with thought leadership content relevant to our industry.
  • Support sensory research initiatives for your team.

Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or related fields, preferably within consumer goods or insights teams.
  • A background in consumer research, market analysis, or sensory evaluation is highly desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related discipline.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • A genuine passion for understanding consumer behavior and a natural curiosity.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ability to think critically and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
