Consumer Insights Specialist

Overview
This position plays a vital role in supporting the Head of Consumer Insights & Strategy by ensuring that consumer perspectives are central to all marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for amplifying the voice of the consumer through the development of impactful insights that guide our brands and strategic business decisions. Additionally, you will oversee the identification, commissioning, management, and reporting of insights projects utilizing various methodologies.
This is a part-time position, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the consumer advocate for your marketing team, promoting our consumer-centric values.
- Efficiently manage quantitative, qualitative, and desk research studies, including identifying issues, briefing, facilitating results, and integrating insights into strategies across your assigned brands.
- Analyze and synthesize research findings, drawing strategic conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, presenting research insights from diverse data sources in an engaging manner.
- Work alongside brand teams to establish project success criteria and evaluate marketing activities post-implementation.
- Oversee aspects of the Insights budget to maximize the impact of expenditures while optimizing outcomes.
- Engage key stakeholders with relevant thought leadership content.
- Support sensory research initiatives for your team.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or related fields, preferably within packaged goods or Insights teams.
- A background in consumer or market research, sensory research, or consumer insights is highly desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine passion for understanding consumer behavior, with a curious and thought-leading mindset.
- Excellent project management abilities and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to inform recommendations.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into measurable actions.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
