Position Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Consumer Insights & Strategy, ensuring that consumer perspectives are integral to all marketing initiatives. You will be instrumental in amplifying the consumer voice by generating valuable insights that inform our brand strategies and business decisions. Additionally, you will oversee the identification, commissioning, management, and reporting of insights projects utilizing various methodologies.

This is a part-time position, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the consumer advocate for your marketing team, promoting our consumer-centric values.
  • Efficiently manage both quantitative and qualitative research projects, including ongoing and ad-hoc studies, from issue identification to results facilitation, ensuring insights are embedded into strategic planning across your brand portfolio.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings, drawing strategic conclusions and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate and present research insights from diverse data sources in a compelling manner.
  • Work alongside brand teams to establish project success criteria and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • Oversee aspects of the Insights budget to maximize the impact of expenditures while optimizing outcomes.
  • Engage key stakeholders with insightful thought leadership relevant to our business objectives.
  • Support sensory research initiatives for your team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or related fields, preferably within packaged goods and/or insights teams.
  • A background in consumer or market research, sensory analysis, and consumer insights is highly desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related discipline.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A genuine passion for understanding consumer behavior, demonstrating thought leadership and curiosity.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to inform recommendations.
  • Strategic thinker capable of translating insights into measurable actions.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
