About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Hestia Housing Support. As a Specialist Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs in our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized safety plans to proactively manage mental health and wellbeing.
  • Conduct one-to-one sessions with service users to support them in developing their own wellness and recovery action plans.
  • Assist service users in building social networks and accessing mainstream or specialist educational, leisure, and health-related activities to promote positive mental health.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with a range of mental health conditions.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working with individuals who have experienced mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of relevant mental health legislation, including Care Program Approach (CPA) processes.
  • Understanding of the principles of recovery and a range of recovery approaches.
  • Awareness of health and safety issues.
  • Ability to work at evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
