About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Recovery Worker to join our Mental Health and Complex Needs service in South London.

As a Specialist Recovery Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals who are experiencing or at risk of a mental health crisis. You will work closely with our service users to develop coping skills, build resilience, and focus on strengths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate service users to identify causes of crises and develop strategies to prevent future crises.
  • Develop and implement individualized safety plans to proactively manage mental health and wellbeing.
  • Conduct one-to-one sessions with service users to support them in developing their own wellness and recovery action plans.
  • Liaise effectively with statutory providers and other voluntary sector agencies to ensure comprehensive support for service users.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with individuals who have experienced mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation and recovery approaches.
  • Ability to work at evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Good IT skills and ability to complete basic financial transactions.
