Mental Health Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Whofoundwho. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with mental health needs in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with mental health therapists and counsellors to develop and implement support plans for students.
  • Work closely with the SENCO to plan and deliver interventions to support students with mental health needs.
  • Conduct baseline and interim assessments to monitor the impact of interventions.
  • Support whole-school initiatives on mental health strategies, including delivering mental health training for staff.
  • Collaborate with staff to resolve issues related to students with mental health needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of mental health strategies and interventions.
