Screwfix, the UK's leading multi-channel supplier of trade tools, accessories, and hardware products, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Key Account Sales Manager to drive growth within its Key Accounts (KA) division.

The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team of account managers, spearheading strategic business initiatives and ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Engagement: Developing and managing a high-level engagement strategy with senior management, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders within customer organisations to build lasting relationships and drive sales.
  • Performance Management: Overseeing individual customer account plans and coaching the team to ensure alignment with overall business goals, monitoring KPIs, and regularly reviewing performance to enhance productivity.
  • Insight & Reporting: Providing strategic weekly updates to senior leadership, highlighting performance metrics, key actions, and growth opportunities.
  • Revenue Optimisation: Managing margin performance through strategic agreements and driving growth by expanding category ranges within accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely across departments to align business objectives and maximise sales and service opportunities.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensuring appropriate credit limits and rebate structures for KA customers, adjusting agreements as necessary based on performance.
  • Leadership: Executing all line management duties, including regular 1:1 meetings, succession planning, and talent management to maintain an engaged and motivated team.

Applicants should have proven experience leading a sales-based team with a record of driving and exceeding growth targets, strong data-driven decision-making skills, expertise in senior-level negotiation and stakeholder management, and a commercial mindset with a deep understanding of financial management.
